Community Initiative A Success!

On February 6th, 2026, a wonderful group of around 30 community members, spanning all ages and at least two nationalities, came together in Cantu on the road to Arbolitos Boat Launch. They dedicated a few hours to cleaning up trash along the length of the rural road leading from there to Campo Two. It was not only a great workout for everyone involved but also resulted in two trailers filled with collected trash! The event was filled with joy, laughter, and a great sense of community spirit. A special thank you goes out to Dulce Karina Ponce for organizing this heartwarming community initiative in memory of her late father, Rafael Ponce Castro. Due to the success of this cleanup, Dulce is planning another event in Cantu on March 5th at 4 p.m.! Be sure to keep an eye out on this website for more details!
