A global event dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of the oceans and inspiring actions to protect them. People worldwide participate through cleanups, educational programs, and advocacy efforts to safeguard marine ecosystems for future generations. World Oceans Day is observed by all UN member states, and has a different them every year. The theme for 2025 is "Wonder: Sustaining What Sustains Us" - highlighting the ocean's ability to inspire curiosity, exploration, and innovation while emphasizing the need to protect and preserve it for future generations.
