Science for the People Monthly Trash Pick Up and Analysis

This is a great way to start your day with a little stretching on the beach, connect with your neighbors and leave the world a little better than when you found it!

For the past nine years locals have gathered together at Mar Azul to protect the near-shore environment!

Folks will meet on the beach to pick up trash, then gather and sort the trash according to various categories to provide Omar with data on his long-term trash study. Rubber gloves and buckets for trash collection will be provided.

The meeting point will be at the beach end of Calle Caracol in Marazul Camp. Take Todos Santos Blvd off the main highway and pass Agua Caliente. Keep going until you get to an entrance to Mar Azul (if you get to Baja Cove/La Marina you've gone too far). Tell the person at the gate that you're participating in Omar's beach project.  Go to the end of the Mar Azul entrance road and turn right on Playa Dorada.  Each of the little streets has a sign with a name - these street names are not on Google Maps.  Go nearly to the end of Playa Dorado and you'll see a sign that says "Calle Caracol."  Turn left there and park.  You'll see folks out in front of Omar's house, or if you're a bit late they'll be down on the beach
